The Swiss watchmaker is known for outfitting the US military and allied forces during World War II. During the war Hamilton Watch Co. delivered over one million watches to the Armed Forces. In 1964, Hamilton made a simple 33mm time-only watch with a 24-hour inner scale, a watch built for the conflict in Vietnam. The appeal transferred into civilian life and the Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical was born.
The latest version is a faithful recreation that stays true to its military heritage. The dial design offers 12- and 24-hour time scales with nickeled hands. The crystal is scratch-proof sapphire and the movement is the unique H-50, a hand-wound mechanical with over 3 days of power reserve.
One of my personal favourites, the timepiece is available exclusively on Revolution for a limited period only.
