Wimbledon is the epitome of style and elegance. Every year we look forward to seeing style royalty in the SW19, and this year was no exception. With a hand-sewn haven of suede loafers, unstructured blazers, silk ties, and, in Pete Davidson’s case, some jewels and polish, there are looks we champion and looks we chastise. We took a look at some of the best-dressed list and wrapped up our favourites.
1. ASHLEY THOMAS
We usually don’t opt for the buttoned-up-sans-tie-look but Them star Ashley Thomas made a compelling argument with a double-breasted suit jacket.
2. KINGSLEY BEN-ADIR
Kingsley Ben-Adir posed in pinstripes and a sharply cut single-breasted suit. This goes down as one of our top looks at Wimbledon 2021, sneakers included.
3. HUGH SKINNER
Just in time for summer, Fleabag star Hugh Skinner reminded us that a relaxed suit with fresh sneakers is always a good option.
4. DAMSON IDRIS
It might’ve been rainy in the SW19 but Snowfall actor, Damson Idris, brought the heat with his colourful slacks and bright tie. And we’re here for it.
5. JONATHAN BAILEY
We’ve might’ve only seen one episode, but Jonathan Bailey gave us some major Bridgerton vibes with his herringbone three-piece suit from Ralph Lauren.
6. EDDIE REDMAYNE
Then there’s the king of Wimbledon himself, Eddie Redmayne. The endlessly cool actor sported a two-piece cream woollen suit from Ralph Lauren Purple Label.
7. EDOARDO MAPELLI MOZZI
We heard Princess Beatrice’s beau, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, did a good deed arriving to the Royal Box in a simple navy suit. We happen to agree.
8. NCUTI GATWA
The Sex Education star made some undeniably smooth moves with a Seersucker suit from Polo Ralph Lauren, matching it with a silk tie and suede loafers.
9. ARCHIE RENAUX
For a youthful homage to a classic look, the 23-year old Shadow and Bone actor wore the Polo Ralph Lauren’s RL67 Houndstooth tweed jacket with a striped silk tie, navy chinos and the classic Oxford shirt. This is, in our opinion, a good example of a perfect generational style.
