For Bourdain Day this year (June 25), we’ll be joining Eric Ripert and José Andrés by celebrating the late chef with the new trailer for the upcoming documentary film Roadrunner: A Film About Anthony Bourdain. The film is from Academy Award-winning filmmaker Morgan Neville (20 Feet From Stardom).

Neville, who co-created Ugly Delicious with Bourdain’s friend and chef, David Chang, promises an intimate view inside Bourdain’s rise to fame using old interviews and unseen footage since the days of Kitchen Confidential. Produced by Focus Features, CNN Films and HBO Max, the film will debut at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 11 and will be released in theatres on July 16.

Bourdain’s unfinished book, World Travel: An Irreverent Guide, was also published in April by Ecco. It was finished by author and editor, Laurie Woolever, who worked for a decade as the lieutenant to the late author, TV host and producer. If you’re anything like us, you’ll be finishing the book before Roadrunner hits theatres in July.
